Medicare Supplement Insurance

Also known as Medigap Insurance, Medicare Supplement Insurance is a private insurance policy used to pay expenses outside of original Medicare coverage. An individual is eligible for Medicare once he or she turns 65 years old. This federally funded health insurance is also available to individuals under 65 with certain disabilities or health concerns.

Medicare covers or reduces the costs of health care services such as: hospital visits, doctor visits, home health care and prescription drugs. A Medigap insurance policy covers additional costs like copayments, coinsurance and deductibles, which are not protected under traditional Medicare. Contact an agent at the Rush Insurance Group to determine whether you are eligible for Medicare Supplement Insurance.
